The leather must be softened with water or "cased" first. Next a traditional tool called a swivel knife is used to create the cuts that make the pattern. A mallet and tools are used to blend down the cuts and give dimension. The swivel knife is used again to add decorative cuts to give the piece movement. The coasters are then oiled, dyed and antiqued. The last step is to sew the pieces together and finish the edges.

Wonderful Communication, shipment was delivered, beautiful packaging, handwritten Thank You note, and a timely delivery. Opened the package and just spot on leather work. Great craftsmanship and beautiful leather coasters. These coasters will be a conversation piece for the rest of my lifetime. Super Exciting!
